Death of a Lion – When a Chief Leaves a Company

As senior executives we are entrusted with strategic initiatives to move our individual departments forward and overall moving the firm forward.

When a member of the executive team leaves the organization it is never easy. They are key components to the process and to the overall culture. The vacuum that is left is never easy to fill and there is confusion as to how to move forward.

In these cases it is up to the chief executive to lead the way and set clear paths for the remaining executives to move forward. Afterwards, individual executives must decide the right path to move forward. Junior staff will look for leadership and guidance and senior executives must provide that in order to maintain stability and calm.
